Safety Sub PB-PL

Application

The Safety Sub type PB-PL is used to provide easy release from stuck assembly of pipes during tripping operations without tool rotation.


Design

The Safety Sub PB-PL is a connection pipe made of alloy steel. The tool has body and sub which are connected with non-upset tubing in left-hand configuration.
The Safety Sub has box connecting thread in right-hand configuration at the top and nipple connecting thread in right-hand configuration at the bottom.
There is a watercourse for drilling fluid.
When required to detach from stuck assembly of pipes in borehole, safety joint is unscrewed by rotating to the right. After that detached assembly of pipes is being pulled out.
