ML threading taper tap internally engages tubular fish by tapping into it and retrieves string components during fishing in a wellbore.
The taper tap is a steel tube section with carburized V-shaped wickers with ¾” TPF (1:16) and lengthwise flutes, which facilitate tapping and flash out the cuttings while engaging the fish, at the lower end and a box thread to connect to the fishing string at the upper end.
The taper tap has a watercourse for fluid circulation. It ends with a heavy-duty mill that cleans out the way into the fish.
At the upper part, the tool has a thread to connect a guide. If not required, the connection should be covered with a thread protector.
